Plank Road

Interactive Overlay Map Of The Perrysville And Zelienople Plank Road

This composite map was constructed using a topographic map that is provided courtesy of the USGS, and a portion of the Cranberry Township map of 1874. The 1874 portion was sectioned, skewed and enlarged so that features common to both maps could be aligned.

You can now take a walking tour roughly from point X to point Y of the Perrysville and Zelienople Plank Road and an old abandoned road or driveway as both appeared on April 24, 2007. These tours consist of photos taken at 25 step intervals. Also there is a very brief tour of a nearby old bridge built for Old Route 19, and still in regular use today. While walking in this part of the Township, you will no doubt come across some wildlife. Some of these animals are included in the tours.

Note that both old road tours are located on property owned by the Settlers Grove Homeowners Association. Permission should be obtained prior to visiting these sites.
