Fernway is Home
(Prepared by Program Director, Thomas Cully) How would you like to live in the quiet countryside, but have neighbors? You would have a bucolic stream running through your plan of homes, and plenty of oak and cherry trees lining the backyards. Another amenity was that you would have a new access road that could take you to New York or Chicago in no time at all. Your home's design would allow you to never worry about a flooded or damp basement, or steps that would worry a young family with infants. Best of all, you would have a mortgage payment around $72 per month! Sounds great huh? Well, that was the Fernway plan of homes in 1958.
