The Cranberry Township Historical Society, Inc., founded in 1989, is a non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to identifying, preserving, and promoting public awareness of historical sites, landmarks, placenames and traditions.
There is much that can be learned about the evolution of Cranberry Township via the internet, however much of that information is not available from any one place and can be hard to find. This site, among other things, is intended to be a hub to this information. We will post whatever we can here, and provide external links to other good sources of information that we think you will like. This new site is also designed to bring people together who are interested in the history of our township and to provide a place for them to discuss and share our history using some of the latest social networking tools available today.
Due to the large amount of accounts created by spammers, visitors can no longer create their own accounts effective immediately. Use the contact page to request an account. Provide your first/last name and a valid email address. Add a brief description to let us know why you would like to have an account. This is separate interested people from automated spambots.
Construction of this site began on September 16, 2010. Reconstruction is scheduled to begin this winter.
